The tommy is engineered through every part and process to install silt fence that won't wash out under the installation, to provide maximum productivity of the machine and labor, and to do so with the least power and most versatility. vs The primitive plow is a simple ripper using a cumbersome process of material dragging 180 degrees around 2 different edges, resulting in a high risk for washout installation, extra labor to load and operate, and poor production rates (relative to the alternative technology).
